A Good Roast (not the kind you eat)

We went to a farewell party Saturday night for a couple who is moving back to Florida. Phil and Karen have been in St Andrews for three years while Phil worked on his PhD. They have been known throughout the St Mary's community for their hospitality. Anytime we needed a venue for a baby shower, book club, or party Phil and Karen were the first to open their home. They are genuinely giving people and we will truly miss them. The party had lots of people, laughter, and food. Oh let me tell you about the food....chips and bread with a myriad of dips; I'm talking anything from spinach dip, artichoke dip, 7 layer bean dip to plain old ranch dressing dip. It was great! I've always been a big fan of a good dip! The party finished off with a traditional roast and toast, and I've got to say that any roast that involves naked stories is a good roast. :) It got me thinking, what would people say about Jeff and me when we leave? I've got just 9 or 10 months to do some stuff crazy enough to make sure our roast is a good one. (Don't worry, Mom, none of them will involve being naked.)

I would think that just being yourself is crazy enough... unless you've changed radically since high school...
